In short
The Maharashtra NEET PG 2026 provisional state merit list was scheduled for 28 October but had not appeared on the State CET Cell portal by 29 October, as reported by KollegeApply and PW. No revised date has been announced. The rest of the published Round 1 schedule still reads: grievances 29–30 October, final merit list and CAP Round 1 seat matrix 1 November, choice filling 2–4 November, selection list 5 November and joining 6–10 November (5:30 PM). Expect these dates to move if the merit list slips further.
Updated 29 October 2026. The Round 1 schedule is from the State CET Cell timetable as reported by FindMyCollege (22 October), FreeJobAlert (26 October), CollegeDekho (26 October) and KollegeApply (29 October), which agree on every date below. The delay is reported by KollegeApply and PW (both 29 October); Careers360 also said on 29 October that the list would come out that day. The ₹3,000 registration fee is reported by FindMyCollege and Sartha. We could not open a merit list or notice on medical2026.mahacet.org from our system, so check that portal and cetcell.mahacet.org before you pay or lock choices.
Is the Maharashtra NEET PG merit list out?
Not as of the afternoon of 29 October, going by the reports we could read. KollegeApply says the list “had not been made available on the counselling portal as of October 29” and that the CET Cell has not confirmed a new date or given a reason. PW reports that the list is now expected on 29 October. Neither outlet quotes an official delay notice, so treat 29 October as an expectation, not a date.
The grievance window (29–30 October) was set on the assumption that the list would be out on 28 October. If the list comes late, the CET Cell may shift the grievance window and later dates. Read any revised schedule on the official portal before you plan travel or payments.

Who this counselling covers
- Courses: MD, MS and postgraduate diploma seats in Maharashtra for 2026-27.
- Seats: as reported by FindMyCollege, the 50% state quota in government and corporation colleges and all seats in private unaided colleges. Sartha’s report adds aided and minority institutions. Your college list will be in the CAP Round 1 seat matrix.
- Eligibility: a qualifying NEET PG 2026 score, an NMC-recognised MBBS, internship completed by the cutoff date and registration with the Maharashtra Medical Council or NMC. FindMyCollege reports that state-quota seats need a Maharashtra domicile certificate. NRI, outside-Maharashtra (OMS) and in-service candidates had to register in this same process, according to Sartha.
- Fee to apply: ₹3,000, non-refundable, plus the applicable security deposit (amounts are in the information brochure).
CollegeDekho notes that candidates claiming OBC, SEBC, SC, VJ, NT or SBC reservation must hold a valid caste validity certificate. Check the exact list of documents for your category in the brochure.
How the dates clash with MCC Round 1
MCC’s NEET PG Round 1 joining window closes on 2 November, three days before Maharashtra’s Round 1 selection list on 5 November. MCC’s schedule, uploaded on 29 October, puts Round 2 registration at 6–11 November. If you hold an MCC Round 1 seat and also want a Maharashtra state seat, read both rule books on resignation, upgradation and deposit forfeiture before you decide. Our MCC NEET PG schedule page has every round.
If your rank is low, the branch matters as much as the college. See our NEET PG 2026 Round 1 closing ranks by branch, the least competitive clinical branches and the NEET PG low score options guide. Private and deemed PG fees vary widely; our deemed MD/MS fees page shows how high three-year costs can go.
What to do in the next 7 days
- Check medical2026.mahacet.org twice a day for the provisional merit list and any revised schedule.
- Verify your entry: name, roll number, category, domicile and in-service status. Raise a grievance with supporting documents inside the window if anything is wrong.
- Read the CAP Round 1 seat matrix when it is published and note each college’s fee for all three years.
- Fill choices only for seats you will join, and finish well before the closing time.
- Keep originals ready for joining: NEET PG scorecard, MBBS degree and marksheets, internship certificate, registration, domicile and caste validity certificates.
- Pay fees only to the college or the official portal, never to an agent. See how to verify a college before paying.
