Jharkhand NEET UG 2026 Stray Round: Admission by 26 Oct

In short

JCECEB has published the provisional allotment for Jharkhand’s NEET UG 2026 stray vacancy round for MBBS, BDS and BHMS. Allotted candidates can download the allotment letter and must complete document verification and admission by 26 October 2026. The stray seat matrix released on 19 October listed 158 vacant seats in all, as reported by NeetUpdates, including 35 MBBS seats at Netaji Subhas Medical College, Adityapur and 20 at Sido Kanhu Medical College & Hospital, Dumka. Everything runs through jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in.

Updated 23 October 2026. The admission deadline of 26 October is from KollegeApply (updated 23 October) and Edufever (updated 19 October), which agree. The two differ by a day on when the allotment letter and admission window opened (21 or 22 October), so we show both. The college-wise vacancy table is reported only by NeetUpdates (19 October), so treat those numbers as reported, not official. The fee and deposit figures come from Edufever’s general 2026 table, not a stray-round notice. We could not open JCECEB’s own portal, so check jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in before you pay.

Where the seats were vacant

NeetUpdates reports the stray round matrix as three PDFs, one for each course. Its table lists these institutes with vacant seats (all categories added together):

Institute Course Vacant seats
Hazaribagh College of Dental Sciences & Hospital BDS 37
Netaji Subhas Medical College and Hospital, Adityapur MBBS 35
Awadh Dental College & Hospital, Jamshedpur BDS 30
Sido Kanhu Medical College & Hospital, Dumka MBBS 20
Vananchal Dental College and Hospital, Garhwa BDS 13
Govt. Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Godda BHMS 7
Laxmi Chandravansi Medical College & Hospital, Palamu MBBS 6
Birsa Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Khunti MBBS 6
Phulo-Jhano Medical College, Dumka; RIMS Ranchi; Medinirai Medical College, Palamu MBBS 1 each
Dental Institute, RIMS Ranchi BDS 1
Total All courses 158

That is about 70 MBBS seats out of 158. The same table shows no vacancy at MGM Medical College Jamshedpur, Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College Hazaribagh, Shaheed Nirmal Mahto Medical College Dhanbad and Manipal Tata Medical College, Jamshedpur. Most vacant seats sit in the PTG, EWS and SC columns, so a vacancy in a college does not mean it is open to your category. For fees at the Dumka college, see our Sido Kanhu Medical College fee page; for every Jharkhand college and its seats, see MBBS in Jharkhand 2026.

Fees and deposit, as reported

Edufever’s 2026 table gives a registration fee of ₹500 plus a counselling fee of ₹1,000 for most candidates, and ₹250 plus ₹500 for Jharkhand SC/ST candidates and for women. It lists a stray/mop-up security deposit of ₹50,000. These are from a general table, not the stray notice, so confirm the amount on JCECEB’s payment screen.

Documents to carry

  • Class 10 and Class 12 certificates and the Class 12 mark sheet
  • NEET UG 2026 admit card and scorecard

What to do in the next 3 days

  1. Download the allotment letter from jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in and check the college, course and category.
  2. Verify the college before paying anything. Use our college verification checklist and read the refund and exit rules.
  3. Report with original documents by 26 October. That is also the last day to report for an MCC stray seat (MCC stray round result), so if you hold two allotments, decide which one you will join.
