MP NEET UG Stray Round 2026: Choices Close 22 Oct

In short

Madhya Pradesh’s NEET UG 2026 stray vacancy round is open. The list of remaining MBBS and BDS vacancies and the list of eligible candidates came out on 21 October. Choice filling and locking closes at 11:59 PM on 22 October, and allotted candidates report to their college on 23–24 October. Everything happens online at dme.mponline.gov.in. Only candidates on the eligible list can fill choices, so check your name first. No report we read gives the number of vacant seats.

Updated 21 October 2026. The schedule is from NeetUpdates, EduProspect and KollegeApply (all 21 October), which agree on every date; PW (21 October) gives the same last date. Shiksha (21 October) reports that the vacancy and eligible lists are out. The attendance rule below is reported only by PW. None of these reports gives seat counts, deposits or a notice number, and we could not open the notice on the MPOnline portal, so check dme.mponline.gov.in before you pay.

MP stray round dates at a glance

Step Date (2026)
Remaining vacancies and eligible candidates list published 21 October
Online choice filling and locking 21–22 October, until 11:59 PM on 22 October
Allotment Date not given in the reports we read; PW says “to be released”
Reporting at the allotted college 23–24 October

That is a two-day choice window followed by a two-day reporting window. Decide tonight which colleges you would actually join, and keep your documents and fee ready before the result.

Who runs it, and who can take part

The round is run by the Office of the Commissioner, Medical Education (CME), Bhopal, as reported by PW, NeetUpdates and EduProspect, through the MP State NEET UG counselling section on MPOnline. Shiksha and EduProspect report that the board has published an eligible candidates list with the vacancy list. If your name is not on it, you cannot fill choices in this round.

PW reports one more step: for each vacant seat, the portal shows the top 10 ranked eligible applicants, and those candidates must log in and mark online attendance. Only candidates who check in are considered for allotment, in merit order. If you are on the list, log in early and confirm that your attendance has been recorded.

The reports we read do not set out the domicile rule or the treatment of candidates who joined a seat elsewhere. The general rules for stray rounds, including why a joined seat usually bars you from the next round, are in our stray round guide. The MP notice decides.

Seats, fees and deposits

EduProspect states that its source does not give the total number of vacant seats, and none of the other reports gives a government, private or NRI split either. KollegeApply says the list covers both government and private medical and dental colleges. Download the vacancy PDF from the portal and list only the colleges that show a seat in your category.

No report gives a security deposit or tuition amount for this round. Check the amount on the portal and the college’s 2026–27 fee before you lock a private college. Our hidden costs guide lists what a fee sheet leaves out, and our state cutoff comparison explains why late-round private seats go at lower scores than earlier rounds.

If you are also in another stray round

MCC’s stray-round result came out on 19 October, with reporting to 26 October, as reported by Medical Dialogues and Aakash. Haryana’s stray allotment came out on 21 October, and Rajasthan’s result is due on 22 October. A candidate holding or joining a seat in one round may be barred in another. Compare the allotments you hold before you report anywhere. Our MCC stray round page and Haryana stray round page have those dates.

What to do in the next 3 days

  1. Tonight: Log in at dme.mponline.gov.in, check the eligible list for your name and download the vacancy list.
  2. By 22 October: Mark online attendance if the portal asks for it, then fill and lock only colleges you would join and can fund. Do not leave it to the last hour; the window closes at 11:59 PM.
  3. Before reporting: Check the college with our verification checklist and read the refund and exit rules.
  4. 23–24 October: Report to the allotted college with original documents and the allotment letter.

Pay fees only through the counselling portal or the account named on the allotment letter. Nobody outside the official process can allot a stray seat.
