How admission works
MBBS admission in Jharkhand is by counselling on your NEET-UG rank. MCC fills the 15% All India quota in government colleges; JCECEB counsels the state seats. For the four private colleges above that are new or expanding — Laxmi Chandravansi, Netaji Subhas, Sido Kanhu and Birsa — JCECEB’s portal lists online counselling for their All India and NRI quota seats, and a JCECEB notice of 17 September 2026 issued in line with an MCC direction of 14 September extended Round 2 admission to 19 September and opened Round 3 applications from 20 to 24 September. Read the current schedule on the portal, because it has already been revised more than once this season.
Fees
We could not confirm a fee schedule for the Jharkhand colleges from a JCECEB document, so we do not print a range. The one figure we can source is Sido Kanhu’s own proposed management-quota tuition of ₹15,00,000 a year. For every other seat, take the fee from the JCECEB prospectus for your seat category and get it in writing before paying. Government college fees are a small fraction of private fees, and the two must never be mixed up when an agent quotes a number.
A note on domicile
State-quota seats in a state’s colleges are generally reserved for that state’s domicile candidates, with the All India quota open to everyone. Check the JCECEB prospectus for the exact rule on the seat you are targeting; we have not confirmed it from a JCECEB document.
