In short
BCECEB has revised the Bihar UGMAC-2026 stray vacancy round schedule (Adv. No. BCECEB(UGMAC)-2026/16, 22 October). Registration and payment closed on 24 October. The rank card is out on 25 October and choice filling and locking closes at 11:59 PM on 25 October. The provisional allotment result is now due on 27 October, allotment orders can be downloaded from 27 to 29 October, and document verification and admission are on 28–29 October. The old dates (result 24 October, admission 25–26 October) no longer apply.
Updated 25 October 2026. The revised schedule is from BCECEB’s Adv. No. 16 dated 22 October 2026, as reported by KollegeApply (updated 24 October), Edufever (23 October), EduProspect (23 October) and Newsd (24 October), which agree on the dates. KollegeApply and Edufever say the extension followed server and technical problems that stopped candidates submitting consent and choices. EduProspect reports that the board has added seats in some private medical colleges, but no outlet gives revised seat numbers, so the vacancy table below is from the original 18 October matrix. Previous update, 19 October 2026: The schedule is from BCECEB’s stray round advertisement dated 18 October 2026, as reported by MedAdmit (18 October), EduProspect, FindMyCollege, NeetUpdates and SkillUPBihar (all 19 October); all five give the same dates. Seat numbers are from EduProspect and FindMyCollege. Fees and deposits are from MedAdmit, SkillUPBihar and FindMyCollege, which differ on one category grouping, noted below. We could not open the board’s notice PDF or seat matrix, so check bceceboard.bihar.gov.in before you pay.

Seats reported vacant (18 October matrix)
| Course and college type | Seats |
|---|---|
| MBBS — government | 26 |
| MBBS — private | 223 |
| BDS — private | 14 |
| B.V.Sc. & A.H. | 18 |
| B.F.Sc. | 40 |
| Total | 321 |
Nine in ten of the MBBS seats left are in private colleges, so cost is the main question. For context, the Round 3 result came out on 14 October, with document verification on 16–17 October. The college-wise matrix on the board’s site decides which seats are actually open in your category.
Who can apply
As reported by MedAdmit and SkillUPBihar from the board’s notice:
- Eligible: NEET UG 2026 qualified candidates not admitted to any medical or dental college in India, including those who never registered for UGMAC-2026 and those who registered but did not pay or fill choices. MedAdmit and FindMyCollege report that Bihar residence is needed for state-quota seats.
- Not eligible: anyone admitted to MBBS or BDS through UGMAC Rounds 1, 2 or 3; anyone admitted to, or allotted, an All India Quota or MCC stray seat; and names on MCC’s weeding-out list.
- Special case: a candidate who joined B.V.Sc. or B.F.Sc. in Round 3 can apply for MBBS or BDS, but cannot remove the earlier choice.
If you are waiting on MCC’s stray result, read our MCC stray round page first. An MCC stray allotment is reported to make you ineligible here.
